Biography:

Jia Khan was born on 20th February , 1988 in New York but raised inChelsae, London. She is the daughter of Ali Rizvi Khan, a Muslim American Indian and Rabiya Amin, a Hindi film actress of Agra, who is mostly remembered Tahir Hussain’s Dulha Bikta. Jia is the oldest of three daughters, her original name is Nafisa, but changed her name to Jiah after Angelina Jolie’s film GIA, citing that it was sexier.



She completed her studies in English literature and took acting courses from Lee Starnberg Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York.She is the most talented girl and has a good voice and also has a formal training in classical opera. It also said that ,she even tried to release her own album when she was 16 years old, and even took the six-pop numbers, but the financial crisis a hurdle and dreams not realized logged.



Apart from that, she can rock the dance floor with five different types of dances, namely, lambada, salsa, samba, belly dancing and Kathak. She likes dancing and swaying to the ground with her performance in all types of dance numbers.



The five feet six inches tall Jiah is also good at sports. She has great athletic ability in sports such as boxing, gymnastics,aerobics, swimming, cycling, tennis, soccer, rollerblading and martial arts. Jiah is also a piano player. She loves to play the piano and get lost in the world of music and imagination.



Film Career



First, she resched for Mukesh Bhatt's Tumsa Nahin Dekha(2004), she was only 16 at that time , she felt the role was too mature for her ,so she backed herself and her role was offered toDia Mirza. She was not disheartened, waiting for the right offer, two years later in 2006, she was approached for Ram Gopal Verma's film Nishabd, which her debut Bollywood film, where she wasopposited to the famous actor Amitabh Bachchan (Big B). She had a wonderful experience with Big B for many, many things to learn from him. In fact, she feels that the whole movie experience has "spoilther as she "would now like to work only with the best."



Through her debut film, she was able to prominent place in the hearts of humans and this wild beauty with a long-legged was acclaimed for her courage,beauty good feature.

Mini Biography

Keralite Diana Mariam Kurien was born to an Indian Army Officer father, Kurien Kodiyattu, and Omana Kurien, in Bangalore, Karnataka. She has a brother, Leno, who resides in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

After her father's retirement the family settled down in Kerala where she continued with her college studies but she did her schooling in several schools in Chennai, Jamnagar, Delhi, and Gujarat.

During the year 2003, while still in college, she was spotted by director Sathyan Anthikkad who cast her in a Malayalam movie. Two years later, she went on to act in Tamil and Telugu movies. As she became popular she also appeared in Kannada language movies.

She soon acquired the reputation of acting opposite male actors who are almost twice as old. She starred in her first Malyalam film opposite Jayaram, and then in "Chandramukhi" with renowned Indian actor Rajnikanth, then with other aging actors like Sarath Kumar, Mohanlal, and Mammotty.

She has been cast to play the lead role in a much younger Simbu's directorial debut, in which he also has the lead role. Nayanthara and Simbu's intimate life-sized posters created shock waves in Chennai, which were subsequently pulled down by the police. Similar excitement resulted when glamorous life-sized posters were posted all over Chennai - this time with her co-star S.J. Surya.

During September 2010, Prabhu Deva, publicly declared his love for her, even though he was married to Ramalath and had three children. After a bitter and contested court battle, the couple was divorced during July 2011.

On August 7, 2011, Diana, a Jacobite Christian, converted to Hinduism at the Arya Samaj Mandir in Chennai and her screen-named is now her formal official name.
